On July 14, 2021, Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto City, and Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) established the Kyoto Climate Change Adaptation Center at RIHN to help promote climate change adaptation in accordance with local natural and social conditions under the "Agreement on the Establishment of the Kyoto Climate Change Adaptation Center" signed on the same day.
